Adobe Firefly
Description
Adobe Firefly is Adobe’s generative AI product family for creating and editing images, video and audio, available as a standalone web app and through Adobe Creative Cloud products including Photoshop. In Photoshop, Firefly powers features such as Generative Fill and other AI-assisted image editing workflows. Adobe positions Firefly for creative production, ideation and asset variation, with enterprise options for managed access and content workflows.
Key Use Cases
Generating images from prompts; extending, replacing or removing image content in Photoshop; producing concept visuals and campaign variations; creating social and marketing assets; testing creative directions; generating or editing video and audio assets in Firefly-supported workflows.
Pros
Strong fit for Adobe Creative Cloud users; useful Photoshop integration; supports rapid visual ideation and image editing; public review feedback commonly notes speed and creative iteration value; enterprise role management and Firefly-specific access controls are available through Adobe Admin Console.
Cons
Generated outputs may require manual correction, especially for realism, consistency, text, proportions or detailed objects; advanced usage may depend on generative credits or paid plans; some capabilities vary by application, model, plan and account type; third-party models inside Adobe workflows may introduce different governance considerations.
